Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Announces 2010 Inductees
New Westminster, BC – Nine new members and one team have been named for induction
into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
The new inductees are Builders Bob Stewart (Burnaby, BC) and Terry Lloyd (Oshawa, ON);
Box Lacrosse Players Tyson Leies (Victoria, BC), Ken Thomas (Port Coquitlam, BC), Barry
“Paco” Maruk (Toronto, ON) and John Fusco (Whitby, ON); Veteran Players Ken Webb
(Surrey, BC) and John “Gus” McCauley (deceased-Brampton, ON); Field Lacrosse Player
Ted Sawicki (St. Catharines, ON) and the 1972-75 Peterborough P.C.O’s squad in the Team
Category.
The new inductees will bring the number of those honoured in lacrosse’s national shrine to
459–138 Builders, 202 Box Players, 81 Field Players and 38 Veterans (those who played
prior to 1970). There are 13 teams inducted in the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Team
Category.
The formal induction banquet and ceremonies will be held November 13, 2010 at the
Firefighter’s Club in Burnaby, British Columbia. Tickets are $75 each or $60 for members of

(Rochester, NY)… After two years behind the Rochester Knighthawks bench, Paul Gait has been promoted by the organization to Vice President of Lacrosse. With the announcement, the Knighthawks will begin their search for a head coach for the 2011 season.”Paul has spent his whole life in the lacrosse business as a player, coach and manufacturer,” said Knighthawks Owner and General Manager Curt Styres. “He has a lot to offer the sport and will help us with the front office in Rochester.”
