MADRID, Oct. 30 (UPI) — Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros  
appears to be on the mend following his latest brain cancer surgery,
doctors say.
The physicians said Ballesteros is responding to treatment  
after his third operation, El Pais newspaper reported Wednesday.

World No. 2-ranked Roger Federer has said he will play for  
the Swiss team in a Davis Cup match against the United States in

HAIKOU, China, Oct. 26 (UPI) — Helen Alfredsson’s  
final-round 7-under-par 65 gave her a three-shot win Sunday in the
Grand China Air LPGA tournament in Haikou, China.
Alfredsson was 12-under 204 for the event. She earned  
$270,000, moving up to No. 5 on the tour money list.

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 26 (UPI) — John Cook shot a 6-under-par  
65 Sunday, winning the AT&T Championship in Texas for the second
straight year.
Cook finished at 16-under 197, three strokes ahead of Keith
